Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien hosted a reception in Hanoi on March 13 for UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Brunei Mark Garnier and UK Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Emily Hamblin to discuss two-way trade toward celebrating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties this year.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai has told Graham Stuart, UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, that the city hopes to work with the UK in seeking new cooperation projects in areas of HCM City’s demand and the UK’s strengths such as traffic management, waste treatment, climate change response and smart city building.

The Governments of Vietnam and the United Kingdom will promote educational cooperation in higher education, English training, educational technology, international education.
