A RoK professor has worked for years to boost relations between his country and
Vietnam, doing translations of prominent Vietnam literary works, especially
President Ho Chi Minh’s Prison Diary.
Several contracts have already been signed with foreign translators and writers
at a six-day International Conference on Promoting Vietnamese
Literature.
As many as 150 international delegates from 31 countries and territories flocked
to a conference on Vietnamese literature that opened in Hanoi on January 5.

(Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary) into Lao was released in Hanoi on Dec. 25 as
part of a programme of cooperation between the two governments.
ASEAN information ministers have
emphasised the necessity to boost and expand information cooperation
within the group and with the group’s dialogue partners - China , Japan
and the Republic of Korea in order to promote mutual understanding.
