Tropical storm Nock-ten struck the northern central provinces of Thanh
Hoa and Nghe An in the evening of July 30, claiming one live, according
to initial report.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on October 14 sent a diplomatic
note to the Chinese Embassy, once again requesting coordination in
search for Boat QNg 66478TS and its nine-member crew as well as
provision of any information.
Whirlwinds and floods have killed seven
people, injured nine and left six others missing in the central region
and Central Highlands over the past seven days.
By Sept. 7, tropical depression had
left four people dead, nine injured and three missing in the central
region and Central Highlands, reported the regional Centre for Storm
and Flood Control.
