The Philippines has incurred huge losses in the agriculture sector amounting to almost 3 billion pesos (nearly 61 million USD) due to typhoon Sarika, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture said.
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has asked authorities of the northern port city of Hai Phong to take preventive measures and do everything in their capacity to deal with typhoon Sarika.
Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung asked local and central agencies, and localities to make all-out effort to deal with typhoon Sarika, which entered the East Sea on October 16 as the seventh storm this year.
Typhoon Sarika passed Luzon Island of the Philippines and entered the East Sea on October 16 morning, becoming the seventh storm to hit this waters in 2016.
