With authorities expecting a rise in the number of COVID-19 infections due to New Year’s festivities and travels, employers in Thailand are being urged to implement a Work from Home model for their workers.
The Ministry of Information and Communications requested telecom service providers to increase internet bandwidth and improve service quality to facilitate e-learning and working-from-home during the COVID-19 pandemic at a virtual meeting on April 1.
A number of firms have allowed their employees to work from home to protect them during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is increasing the risks to cybersecurity.
Indonesia will conduct a trial run on civil servants working from home, beginning with 1,000 staff of the National Development Planning Ministry on January 1, 2020.
