The Nanning-Hanoi Economic Corridor is an essential part of the Nanning-Singapore Economic Corridor, playing the most important role in building two corridors and one belt between China and Vietnam.

These were the contents highlighted at a talk on the position and role of the Nanning-Hanoi Economic Corridor in the Nanning-Singapore Economic Corridor jointly held by the Vietnam Institute of Social Sciences and China’s Guangxi Institute of Social Sciences in Hanoi on July 9.

The scientists also focused their discussions on the cooperation between China and Vietnam as well as other countries on the corridor in the coming time, especially in transportation and tourism.

In transportation, the two sides suggested carrying out more flexible procedures on railways and roadways, including a visa exemption in border areas, building sites to convey goods and implementing a one-door quarantine system.

In tourism, the countries aim to link their own tourist spots with others to create a good over-all tourism product, opening trans-national land routes to encourage the people to drive across borders themselves for travel./.
