Tangerine farms - A mecca for visitors to Mekong delta

Tangerines are now coming into season at many orchards in Lai Vung district in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, and they are busy preparing to open up to visitors seeking the perfect weekend getaway.

Covering more than 1.4 hectares, the Hung Phat tangerine orchard has welcomed visitors for four years. The owner has built a lot of mini scenery, and offers an array of local staples to visitors.

The orchard of Dao Nhut Linh, a local resident in Lai Vung district, has recently begun welcoming visitors. The 2-hectare orchard, which cultivates tangerines, king oranges, and green skin pomelos, offers visitors a unique, tranquil space.

Lai Vung district is now home to 300 hectares of tangerines. Eight orchards are open to visitors, giving them the chance to work on the orchards, enjoy the fruits of their labour, and experience the culture of the Mekong Delta region./.
