The southern province of Tay Ninh has attracted 17 foreign-invested projects with a total registered capital of nearly 504 million USD from the beginning of 2013, a 2.1-fold increase from last year’s figure.
This helps raise the total number of FDI projects in the province so far to 207 with a total capital to more than 2 billion USD. Among them, 169 projects are operational, concentrating in the Trang Bang, Bourbon-An Hoa and Phuoc Dong Boi Loi industrial zones.
According to Tay Ninh province’s economic zone management board, thanks to FDI businesses’ contributions, the province’s export is estimated at 1.85 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 17.4 percent, of which 900 million USD comes from industrial zones.
In the last days of 2013, at least three foreign-invested companies will begin operation in the Phuoc Dong Boi Loi and Bourbon-An Hoa industrial zones.-VNA
