The 2013 Dak Nong Technology and Equipment Market will be held in the Central Highlands province’s Gia Vien town from November 12-15.

The information was released by Le Xuan Dinh, head of the National Scientific and Technological Information Department under the Ministry of Science and Technology, at a conference to introduce the event in Hanoi on June 28.

The three-day event will house more than 200 booths showcasing technological and scientific research outcomes, and the latest technologies and equipment offered by a host of domestic and foreign organisations, research institutes, universities, colleges and businesses.

The technologies cover machinery, electronics, automation, chemicals, materials, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and environmental treatment solutions to name but a few.

With the theme “Joining in integration and sustainable development”, the event aims to promote the geographical advantages of the southern central and Central Highlands region, and Dak Nong province in particular.

In addition to speeding up activities to commercialise research products, establish and develop regional scientific and technological markets, the event means to link scientific achievements and technological breakthroughs with production to support businesses’ technological renovation and competitiveness enhancement, especially in the process of integration and development.

It will open up a wealth of opportunities for enterprises, units and individuals to expand their markets and seek partners through a series of scientific seminars. There will also be negotiations and the signing of contracts and memorandums of understanding that are made available to them.

The event will be co-organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the People’s Committees of Dak Nong and Ho Chi Minh City.-VNA
