Hoang Quy Phuoc, returning to Vietnam after a training camp in China, won his second gold medal in the men's 50m butterfly event with a time of 25.66sec.

He also sealed a gold medal for Da Nang by finishing first in the men's 4x400m relay. With two more golds, Da Nang comfortably retained second place in the team's competition.
