Jakarta (VNA) – Tens of people were injured after a train derailed in Bogor district of Indonesia’s West Java province on March 10 morning.

Local authorities said they are counting the exact number of injured people in the train.

According to police, the incident took place at 10:30 a.m when the train en route from Jakarta to Bogor district arrived in Kebon Pedes station.

Meanwhile, transport ministry spokesperson Hengky Setiawan quoted some witnesses as saying that the incident occurred after a power pole collapsed and hit the train.

However, an investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of the accident, he said.-VNA
