The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) has planned to spend 6 billion VND in a campaign to encourage local people to purchase made-in-Vietnam garment products in support island residents.

The money will also be used to transport goods to rural areas.

According to Vinatex General Director Vu Duc Giang, the group will develop a distribution network to bring goods to remote areas from now to the year-end.

It will also deduct 1,000 VND per a unit of garment product to support residents in islands, he added.

The group posted a revenue growth rate brought by domestic market of 17-23 percent compared to last year. It is striving to raise the figure to 28-30 percent./.
