TH True Milk, a pioneer in promoting clean dairy products in Vietnam, recently broke a record in the India-based Asian Record Organization to become the top Asian large-scale and high-tech dairy farm.

With a total investment of 1.2 billion USD, the company’s highly automated farm project in Nghia Dan district, central Nghe An province was opened in 2009 and targets a scale of nearly 203,000 cows in 2020. Currently, two of its expected four clusters have been completed, keeping 45,000 cows and producing up to 80,000 million litres of milk per day.

Israeli-based Afimilk, a global leader in developing and manufacturing computerized systems for modern dairy farms and herd management, is in charge of breed consultation and livestock management technology at the farm while a New Zealand company, Totally Vets, is responsible for the cattle’s medical care.

The farm can generate up to 1.5 billion VND (69,767 USD) per hectare and has thus far created 1,300 jobs for locals. TH True Milk is conducting research in a bid to establish similar farm models in northern Thanh Hoa province and the Central Highlands provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Lak.

Taking into account TH True Milk’s contribution to domestic dairy industry, the State President awarded it the Labour Order, third class.-VNA
