The Thai Commerce Ministry revealed that the country’s export in June rose 7.2 percent from a year earlier due to improved global demand and government measures to boost trade.

June's export value recorded the highest monthly level of 20.47 billion USD so far this year, thanks to a recovery in the world’s leading markets, especially the United States and Europe .

During the first five months of 2014, exports were down 1.2 percent year-on-year.

However, the ministry also maintained a positive forecast that Thai exports will grow 3.5 percent for the entire year of 2014.-VNA
