Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Culture has sent Thai artists to perform at the Thai-Chinese event, aimed at promoting the relations and cultural heritages of both countries to the world.

Thai Culture Minister Veera Rojpojanarat said companies of Thai performers have performed at the Folk Art Performances in Hainan, China. The show, entitled "Strengthening Thai-Chinese Relations", has left impressive memories among Chinese and international audiences.

The companies include performers from the Likay Association of Thailand, the youth puppet theater conservation association, drum performers, traditional Thai dancers, and martial arts performers.

The group from Thailand has also joined and performed at Hainan Tourism Festival from November 23 to 27. The ministry had discussed with the Chinese officials to arrange future cultural performance events and help promote Thai performances at the international stage, creating good relations between both sides, and exchange cultural knowledge between each other.

In 2017, the Thai Ministry of Culture worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government and private firms to arrange altogether 184 roadshows in 44 countries, including Thai cultural performances in 16 countries.-NNT/VNA
