Meeting with representatives of the agro-industry at the Government House on July 8, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra affirmed the government’s determination to help boost the agricultural industry, while reducing its production cost with better access to raw materials.

She further stated that Thailand prides itself on its food products, and urged food producers to keep up their standards, so that Thailand will still be able to cater to the world’s demand, especially in organic and halal foods.

Yingluck assured that the 2 trillion baht infrastructure project will provide Thai businesses with a long term solution to the high cost of transportation.-VNA/NNT
