Thai PM sends sympathy over injured Vietnamese in Bangkok blast
Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has cabled a message of sympathy to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung over a Vietnamese citizen hurt in a bomb attack in central Bangkok on August 17.
The blast site in Bangkok (Photo: AFP/VNA)Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramutvinai also extended his sympathy to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh over the incident.
In their messages, the Thai leaders strongly condemned the blast, saying Thailand is promptly investigating the bombing.
They asked the Vietnamese leaders to convey their sympathies to the victim’s family and affirmed that the Royal Thai Government will provide the most satisfactory aid for the victim.
The bombing which took place at a popular tourist hub and close to upscale shopping malls claimed the lives of at least 20 foreigners from China, the UK, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia./.
