Thai princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited and presented gifts to outstanding students at the Ninh My primary school in Hoa Lu district in the Red River Delta province of Ninh Binh on May 8.

The visit aims to review the school’s 10-year implementation of a project funded by the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO) and the Thai princess’ Office on improving the living conditions for children and adolescents in the Asia-Pacific region.

The royal princess expressed her delight at the project’s outcomes, including the school’s well-equipped kitchen area.

Pupils at the school have also been provided with free health check-ups, nutritious meals, and a clean, green environment.

School headmaster Le Thi Bich Ngoc expressed her hope to receive further support to improve the school’s infrastructure facilities and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.-VNA
