The accident occurred on the night of December 26 in Lom Sak district,Phetchabun province while the bus was en route to the northern provinceof Chiang Rai.
Twenty-eight bodies were found in the ravine, one other person died on the way to hospital.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was travelling very fast before theaccident. Police suspect the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel.
