Bangkok authorities will do everything possible to support the police and the government in preventing a recurrence of the incident in which three blasts injured five people in the city on Feb. 14.
According to Bangkok governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra, law enforcement agencies as well as the Bangkok fire and rescue department have been told to stay vigilant and be ready to deliver emergency responses if needed.
The city is also speeding up the installation of 10,000 security cameras, especially in areas frequented by foreign visitors.
Meanwhile, security measures have also been enhanced in shopping centres in Bangkok .
Mall Group, which runs the Paragon and Emporium shopping centres, said they now have more than 200 additional security guards protecting their stores.
Thailand’s soldiers are also closely monitoring checkpoints at provinces on the borders with Myanmar and Laos, including train and bus stations.
Three attacks in Sukhumvit Soi 71, Bangkok injured five people, with reactions from at least 10 countries, including the US, the UK, Japan and the Republic of Korea warning their citizens to exercise caution in popular areas of Thailand./.
