Hanoi (VNA) – A bomb explosion in southern Thailand,  on September 22 killed four soldiers and wounded six people including a civilian.

The bomb exploded when an army vehicle carrying a group of soldiers was on patrol in Pattani province.

Previously on September 14, two bomb blasts targeting an army patrol in Thailand’s southern province of Yala, killing one soldier and wounded 20 other people, including two civilians.

The prolonged religious conflicts since 2004 have provoked daily violence in the Thai southern provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat over the past 10 years.

Attacks in the region have killed over 7,000 people so far.-VNA
