Thailand, Cambodia agree to elevate relations

The Thai-Cambodian General Border Committee (GBC) has commended the two countries’ close relations and agreed to avoid border trespass.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai-Cambodian General Border Committee (GBC)has commended the two countries’ close relations and agreed to avoid bordertrespass. 

Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen.Prawit Wongsuwon and hisCambodian counterpart on March 21 presided over the 13th Thai-CambodianMeeting hosted by Thailand. 

The meeting followed up on the progress of the two countries’ cooperation inimportant border zones in terms of demarcation, labour, drug traffickingsuppression and anti-terrorism. 

The two parties also agreed to tighten their military ties and confirmed thatthey won't let a border dispute affect their good relations. 

Thailand and Cambodia vowed to tackle any border conflict in a peaceful manner.-VNA
