Thai Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan and his Cambodian counterpart Tea Banh agreed not to worsen the already tense situation, according to Thai military sources.
In a positive move, on Nov. 12 Thai marines released two Cambodian soldiers who had been arrested on accusation of trespassing into Thai territory.
Meanwhile, Thailand ’s national English language daily, The Nation, has reported that the Thai army has drawn up a plan to evacuate residents in border areas in case of any conflicts long the border with Cambodia./.
