The setting up of 16 National Legislative Assembly (NLA) committees in Thailand has been completed and all will soon be ready to conduct any review and study of the issues submitted to the legislature.

Each committee has between 22 to 26 members and their responsibilities cover all aspects of life, from political affairs to public administration, justice and police affairs and local administration to economics, education, health, culture and tourism.

Right after its establishment, each committee will convene its own meeting to select the chair and deputy chair as well as other positions. It will then move on to select a representative to sit in the NLA whip.-VNA
