The Thai Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are jointly hosting the ITU Telecom World 2013, showcasing the latest world class telecommunication and digital innovations.
The event started on November 19 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani, with the display of the latest innovations in telecommunication technology the world has to offer such as the newest models of smartphones, disaster-relief technologies, robots, and the Digital 3D technology. The event also demonstrates how these technologies can be applied.
The ICT Minister, Group Captain Anudit Nakorntab, stated that the exhibition's theme has been inspired by the world’s ever-changing digital era, focusing on the communications methods, the need of business models in the digital technology dominated world, and the current trend of the industrial and technology sectors.
The fair offers forums for discussions on investment opportunities in ICT businesses around the world, as well as on the topic of creating the ICT global industrial network.
There are also demonstrations of related technologies from many participating countries throughout the event. The ‘Thailand Pavilion’ highlights innovations that have helped shape the current national development and at a compromise with Thai culture.
