Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Investment ventures of 17 foreign firms worth some 200 million THB have been approved with 526 jobs to be created in Thailand.

Department of Business Development (DBD) Director General Vuttikrai Leewiraphan revealed the Foreign Business Commission has approved the 17 foreign firms to conduct businesses in this country.

Most foreign firms are from Japan, Singapore, and China, which will be making some 205 million baht investments which will create 526 jobs for Thai people, and transfer technological expertise and techniques from the foreign countries to Thailand.

In January and February, the committee has allowed business operations and investments to 34 foreigners with a combined value of 395 million THB. – NNT/VNA
