Bangkok(VNA) – Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has ordered relevant agencies to ensure the strict enforcement of law as part of the effort to prevent social violence and conflicts in the coming time.

Addressing a weekly television programme on policies, broadcast on January 8, the PM highlighted that the stringent law enforcement is a crucial element to maintain peace and sustainability in the country.

The Thai Government is striving to address the political crisis and other security issues by strengthening law enforcement and calling for support from politicians and the media for the Government’s policies.

Recent polls revealed that the majority of the Thai people want the Government to focus on economic reforms and solutions to cost of living and unemployment.-VNA
