Thailand, Peru promote culture cooperation

to attend a bilateral meeting with his Peruvian counterpart to map out a
cultural cooperation framework and activities between the two
countries.

The minister is accompanied on this trip by a Thai cultural troupe which will give a special performance to celebrate the 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The performance is scheduled to follow the bilateral discussion between the two ministers.
During the visit, the Thai delegation attended a welcoming party hosted the by Thai Ambassador to Peru Ruengdej Mahasaranond and Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Suwat Jiraphan.
The Ambassador reiterated to enhance the Thai-Peruvian relations through the cultural dimension.
Thailand and Peru, he said, have signed their first agreement on the conservation of museums and cooperation to bring back stolen ancient objects of both countries.-VNA
