The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has coordinated with northern, northeastern, eastern and central provinces to brace for summer storms during March 14 to 18, 2019.

The DDPM Director-General, Chayapol Thitisak, said the four regions are also expected to experience thunderstorms and hail in some areas.

They will first affect the northeastern and eastern regions and then the northern and central regions the following day.

The DDPM has coordinated with the provinces and the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Centres in the risk areas to be prepared to tackle the summer storms. Those in need of immediate assistance can call the department's hotline at 1784 around the clock.–NNT/VNA
