Vietnamese citizens, who enter Thailand for multiple purposes, will still be granted a 30-day visa exemption in accordance with an agreement on visa exemption for ordinary passport holders inked by the two countries, the Thai Embassy to Vietnam has said.
At a meeting with representatives from the Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam in Hanoi on August 14, the Thai side affirmed that their country respects and will continue implementing contents stipulated in the agreement on visa exemption signed between the two governments on May 9, 2000.
Under the document, Vietnamese holders of ordinary passports are allowed to enter and stay in Thailand for 30 days without visa.
