Thailand steps up security at tourist attractions

The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that Thailand has increased the security level at all important venues and tourist attractions with the objective of rebuilding foreign confidence.

Bangkok, Mar. 21 (VNA/NNT) – The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that Thailand has increased the security level at all important venues and tourist attractions with the objective of rebuilding foreign confidence.

The ministry has coordinated with security agencies to carefully carry out their missions without harming Thailand's relations with its foreign allies and other countries. Foreign diplomats from across the globe have been informed of the facts in order to prevent any kind of misunderstanding.

Additionally, the Thai government has increased security at all important venues and tourist attraction sites with large groups of foreigners. At the same time, inbound immigration procedures have become stricter to prevent acts of terrorism from being committed on Thai soil.

At present, travel advisories are still imposed on Thailand by 16 countries and territories, including Hong Kong and Taiwan. (VNA)
