Thailand steps up security at tourist attractions

The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that Thailand has increased the security level at all important venues and tourist attractions with the objective of rebuilding foreign confidence.

Bangkok,Mar. 21 (VNA/NNT) – The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that Thailand hasincreased the security level at all important venues and tourist attractionswith the objective of rebuilding foreign confidence.

The ministry has coordinated with security agencies to carefully carry outtheir missions without harming Thailand'srelations with its foreign allies and other countries. Foreign diplomats fromacross the globe have been informed of the facts in order to prevent any kindof misunderstanding.

Additionally, the Thai government has increased security at all importantvenues and tourist attraction sites with large groups of foreigners. At thesame time, inbound immigration procedures have become stricter to prevent actsof terrorism from being committed on Thai soil.

At present, travel advisories are still imposed on Thailand by 16 countries and territories, includingHong Kong and Taiwan.(VNA)
