Thailand to extend emergency state for one month
Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has agreed to extend the nationwide emergency state for another one month to November 30 as part of efforts to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.

According to CCSA spokesperson Taweesilp Vinsanuyothin, the one-month extension, when approved by the cabinet next week, will be the seventh since the first order in March.
As scheduled, the CCSA will officially discuss the reduction of quarantine time for people entering the country from abroad.
Taweesilp said that many countries showed their hope to receive Special Tourist Visa (STV), while the Thai tourism sector are aiming to lure more visitors. Thailand also plans to allow transits at airport as well as cruise ships and tourist ships to bring visitors to the country.
Meanwhile, Thai Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said that the ministry is preparing to shorten quarantine time for tourists to 10 days.
Thailand welcomed the first group of foreign tourists following STV programme on October 20 after seven months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic./.
