A World Puppet Carnival will be held in Bangkok on November 1-11, featuring 160 shows performed by 83 countries worldwide.

The Thai Ministry of Culture will use locations around the historic Rattanakosin island such as the National Theatre, the National Museum Bangkok, the National Gallery Bangkok, the Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Center, and Sanam Luang field for puppet exhibitions.

The event is expected to help Thailand promote its arts and culture to other nations in order to make itself a centre for world-class puppet exhibition, according to the Minister of Culture.

He said he hopes that many Thais and foreign tourists visit the exhibition.-VNA
