Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – The Mekong Tourism Forum 2018 (MTF 2018) is to be held in Thailand’s Nakhon Panom province later this month.

The forum aims to promote travel to three Thai provinces along the Mekong River, namely Nakhon Panom, Mukdaharn and Sakon Nakhon.

MTF 2018 will take place on June 25-29 under the title “Transforming Travel, Transforming Lives”. It will be attended by representatives of the six countries of Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

The forum is held annually to discuss tourism promotion and to unify efforts to drive tourism along the Mekong River delta of Thailand. Participants this year will also be given the opportunity to experience tourism in Nakhon Panom, including visiting its eight ethnic tribes.
