Bangkok (VNA/NNT) - Thailand will provide a train engine to Cambodia to promote the transport and tourism sectors between the neighbouring countries.

The promise was made by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha when he received a Cambodian delegation during their visit to Thailand this week.

During the one-hour meeting, Prayut Chan o-cha said the train engine will soon be sent to Cambodia.

Cambodia plans to reconnect the railway line to Thailand by the end of this year.

Cambodia is Thailand’s 22nd largest trading partner and eighth largest in ASEAN. Two-way trade reached 5.1 billion USD in 2014, up 11 percent from 4.6 billion USD in 2013.
