According to DOPA Director General Kritsada Boonrat,the meeting has sought to increase the capacity of the provincialofficials in dealing with the issue.
Thirty-three provinces inThailand that are located either by the sea or along the border aresaid to be hotbeds for human trafficking activities.
He said theNational Council for Peace and Order has instructed every agencyinvolved to strictly deal with human traders to the full extent of law,after Thailand has been relegated to a Tier 3 on the US humantrafficking watch list.
