Bangkok (VNA)Thailand’s exports in November of 2017 rose for a ninth straight month by 13.4 percent, the fastest level in six years, according to the Thai Ministry of Commerce.

Pimchanok Vonkorpon, Director General of the ministry’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office, said that the country’s shipments to abroad grew 10.1 percent during January-November.

The robust growth is attributed to the global economic recovery, particularly in Thailand’s traditional trade partners.

Thailand’s key export markets are the EU (5.3 percent), the US (20.7 percent), China (16.9 percent) and South Asia (41.8 percent).

Rubber, cassava, fresh and frozen chicken and rice were major earners.

Pimchanok Vonkorpon forecast that exports for the whole year 2017 would grow 8-10 percent and the figure for 2018 would be 6-6.5 percent with total value of 250 billion USD.-VNA
