Thailand’s northeastern Buriam province will have its first walking street.

The information was announced at a recent press conference by Buriram Governor Seri Srihatri and other top provincial officials.

The walking street is located on Romburi road from the municipal office to the city hall near the Lalomborahluktee 1 Canal.

The area provides small local business operators a place to offer their handicrafts, souvenir and other products to the public. The street would serve as a recreation facility, a products exhibition space and a tourist attraction.

The street will be closed for vehicles to make ways for vendors and shoppers on the weekend from 5 pm to 10 pm.-VNA
