On May 11 morning, the flag-raising ceremony was held at the B section of the My Dinh National Sports Complex, one day before the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) opening ceremony.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, the national flags of 11 participating countries were hoisted one by one with their national anthem, bringing solemnity and coziness, which made a deep impression on the people who attended.

According to the representative of the Military Honour Guard Battalion, the preparation for the ceremony has been going on for many days. The cadres of the battalion have practiced fluently the national anthems of 11 countries as well as the flag hoisting rite.

The flag-raising ceremony was held to welcome the participating delegations, encourage the competitive spirit; promote Vietnamese culture and people, express the national character, and provide a memorable experience for the athletes./.
