Vietnam ’s Truong Thanh Hang grabbed her third silver medal at the Asian Athletics Association’s Grand Prix Series in Hong Kong on May 30, as she finished her second of three legs.

Hang clocked in two minutes and 3.88 seconds in the women’s 800m third leg at Wanchai Stadium in Hong Kong, just behind Margarita Matsko from Kazakhstan, who finished first in 2:02.93.

Earlier on May 23, the former Asian champion Hang bagged two silvers in the women’s 800m in the first leg in mainland China with a time of 2:4.15.

In the second leg in China on May 27, the HCM City-born athlete finished in 2:3.28 to win the silver medal.

At the event last year, Hang bagged three gold medals.

The 24-year-old sprinter will take a cash-prize of 2,400 USD from the organising committee for her clutch of the three silver medals.

As scheduled, Hang will race at the Asian Athletics Championship in Guangzhou, China in November before competing at the Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam and the Southeast Asian Games in Laos this December./.
