Three endangered leopards discovered in Lam Dong
Three leopards, of the endangered Panthera Pardus species, have been
spotted in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, according to the
provincial forestry management department.

The department made the conclusion based on such evidence as the animals’ footprints left at village 1, Da Oai commune (Da Huoai district) and information provided by local residents.
Part of the Felidae (cat) family, the leopard is categorised in Group One of rare and endangered animals, the use of which for commercial purposes is forbidden.
The department’s staff is joining hands with local authorities and people to step up measures to protect the newly-discovered leopards.-VNA
