Three foreigners have been rescued at sea by a Vietnamese fishing vessel and provided with care in Ben Tre province.

The foreigners, two Thais and a Laotian, were saved on Aug. 23 by the fishing vessel BĐ 1460TS owned by Nguyen Van Doc from the south- central coast province of Binh Dinh, while they were drifting at 6 degrees north latitude, 105 degrees east longitude.

After being provided with first aid and care, they were brought to Border Station 594 in Binh Thang commune, Ben Tre province, on Aug. 31.

According to the foreigners, they were helped by the Vietnamese vessel after five hours adrift at sea.

They are now recovering. Thai and Lao consulates general in Ho Chi Minh City have sent interpreters to help resolve any outstanding issues./.
