Thua Thien-Hue IPs generate nearly 16,000 jobs

of Thua Thien-Hue created jobs 15,920 labourers last year.
The statistics were released during a meeting between the provincial IP Management Board and the businesses on February 11 in the locality.
According to the board, the businesses recorded a yearly production value of more than 8.55 trillion VND (401.85 million USD), accounting for 45 percent of the province’s total industrial production.
They have contributed 1.2 trillion VND (56.4 million USD) to the state budget every year.
The board said it will work to speed up site clearance and complete infrastructure system in IPs this year to attract additional 2.9 trillion VND (136.3 million USD) in investment.
During the meeting, the enterprises voiced their proposals on a number of issues relating to policies in investment and taxation.
The same day, the board in coordination with the provincial employment centre launched the 2014 job session.
In the first day of the session, as many as 180 employees were recruited by 45 businesses in Quang Dien district.
Meanwhile, the province’s Phong Dien district plans to offer vocational training to 1,500 labourers to work at local IPs.-VNA
