Togo wants to boost agricultural ties with Vietnam

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Togo Hoang Ngoc Ho has presented his credentials to Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe in the capital city Lome.

At a later meeting, Ambassador Ho briefed the President on Vietnam’s renewal successes and highlighted the friendship ties between Vietnam and African countries in trade and investment, particularly agricultural relations based on the South-South framework.

Admiring the country’s considerable achievements, Togo’s President desired to further ties with Vietnam, especially in agriculture, poverty reduction and food security.

He expressed his sympathy to the Vietnamese Party, State and people at the passing of General Vo Nguyen Giap whom he much respected.

Earlier, the Ambassador met with Foreign Minister Robert Dussey, expressing his hope that Togo will create more conditions to support the Vietnamese community on its land.-VNA
