The Flemish Association for Cooperation and Technical Assistance (Belgium) and UNESCO in Vietnam have held a seminar in Hanoi hoping to help Vietnam build tools to assess its education quality.

At the two-day seminar beginning on August 20, a package of tools were proposed, including a model lesson plan and attendance sheet, the application of IT to Active Teaching and Learning (ATL), and a means of assessing the integration of environmental education into ATL.

The seminar also discussed how to integrate ATL into school programmes and how to identify measures and standards for assessing education quality.

The seminar, themed “Tools to assess education quality for sustainable development, active teaching-and-learning methods, IT applications and environmental education,” draws the participation of education experts and researchers from a number of universities, the National Institute for Science Education, as well as teachers from a number of provinces./.
