Vietnam’s top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, will be competing in the Hong Kong Super Series, which kicks off on Nov. 11.

The world No 7 is seeded No 7 at the tournament, which carries a total cash prize of 250,000 USD.

Minh will need to make it into the quarter-finals to maintain a spot in the world top 10.

The Vietnamese Olympian will first meet Kurniawan Tedjono of Indonesia , who ranks 30 in the world.

If he makes it through the qualifiers, he will next meet world No 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia in the quarters, who he has beaten once./.
