Top legislator attends justice sector’s patriotic emulation congress

Hanoi (VNA) - Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi KimNgan asked the justice sector to better its emulation and commendation affairsto ensure that patriotic emulation is truly a motive for its staff tocomplete their assigned political missions.

Addressing the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the justicesector for the 2020-2025 period, Ngan suggested justiceorganisations should renew and integrate the emulation work into the implementation ofpolitical tasks, with a focus placed on accomplishing the legal system to meetthe nation’s requirements for socio-economic development and international integration.

The Ministry of Justicemust work closely with competent ministries, sectors and the National Assembly’s agencies to improve quality and forecast capacity of bills, decrees and resolutions to be submitted to the NA and the NA Standing Committee, map out a development strategy for the justice sector, complete institutionsin service of the socialist-oriented market economy, and build a socialist law-governed state, she added.

The top legislator tookthe occasion to laud the justice sector’s achievements in the past 75 years,saying the sector has carried out uniform solutions to realising targets andmissions set at the 12th National Party Congress.

Besides working to addressoverlapping regulations and remove administrative procedures that causedtroubles to both local people and businesses, the sector has played animportant role in solving international trade and investment lawsuits,contributing to protecting national interests amidst deep internationalintegration, she stressed.

On behalf of Party and State leaders, the NAChairwoman presented a first-class Labour Order, the noble distinction ofthe Party and State, to the justice sector./.
