Telecommunications, automobile - transportation, information and communications, food, and cosmetics are the industries that pay most for online advertising in Vietnam in the third quarter 2013, the English-news website VietNamNet Bridge reported on February 19.

Tech in Asia, a research company on digital advertising market (Itracker.vn) recently published a report naming the sectors spending most for online advertising in Vietnam in the third quarter of 2013.

These sectors include telecommunications with over 1.6 million USD, auto-transport nearly 1.4 million USD, information - communications over 1.3 million USD, food 1.3 million USD, cosmetics nearly 1.3 million USD, finance - insurance over 863,000 USD, culture-entertainment nearly 877,000 USD, pharmaceuticals nearly 813,000 USD and travel over 656,000 USD.

According to the report, in the quarter, the total expenditure of ad units for the online ad market in Vietnam was 13.7 million USD.

In particular, 31 percent of this amount was spent on July, 32 percent in August and 37 percent in September.

Compared to the second quarter, the total online ad spending in Vietnam increased by 2.7 percent.

MobiFone spent the most for online ads in the 3rd quarter 2013, with about 465,000 USD.

Other companies in the top 10 enterprises for online ads spending in the period include Nokia in second place, followed by Honda Vietnam, Yamaha Motor, Samsung Vina, Sao Thai Duong, VietJet Air, VP Bank, Piaggio Vietnam, and Vietbando, according to iTracker.

However, iTracker also stressed that its information does not reflect a completely accurate picture of the online advertising market in Vietnam.-VNA
