Top university graduates commended

Rua, who is also head of the CPVCC’s Information and Education Committee, said the academic achievements are just initial steps in the students’ life and they should keep working hard to get more success in their future career.

He also advised the students to try their best to contribute to the development of the country.

On the occasion, the Party official presented gifts to the top university graduates with. Two disabled students, Dao Thu Huong of Hanoi Teachers’ University and Ha Van Chuong of the National Music Conservatory received special gifts for their extraordinary efforts.

The students put forth their proposals on policies regarding university training and job creation for graduates.

The same day, Hanoi authorities hosted a ceremony to honour top university graduates and students who recorded the highest marks in the July university entrance exams.

On behalf of Hanoi’s leaders, Party Committee’s Secretary Pham Quang Nghi congratulated and commended the students on their outstanding achievements.

He said the municipal leaders believed that the top graduates will continue to build up on their excellent study to achieve even greater achievements in whatever field they will work in and bring fame to the country.

The municipal People’s Committee also presented certificates of merit and 3 million VND each to 120 outstanding students.

This is the eighth consecutive year the city has honoured top university students.

Between 2003-2009, 741 students were commended.

Hanoi has offered various incentives to attract the young talents to local State-run agencies./.
