The Italian city of Torino wants to further step up cooperation with Vietnam in economics, culture and education, Chairman of the Municipal Council Giovani Ferraris has said.

Ferraris delivered the statement at a ceremony to erect President Ho ChiMinh’s statue at the Vietnamese Honorary Consulate in Torino on Oct.14, which was also attended by Vietnamese Honorary Consul SandraScagliotti.

The city’s authorities are willing to supportand cooperate with the Vietnam Study Centre and the Vietnamese HonoraryConsulate in activities to promote Vietnamese culture and raiseunderstanding about Vietnam among the local people, Ferraris said.

He also expressed his respect for President Ho Chi Minh,saying that the Italian people always have a respect for the Presidentas well as sentiments towards the Vietnamese people.

On theevening of the same day, a concert was held under the baton of EnricoIntra, who organised a concert in 1962 to raise funds for AgentOrange/dioxin victims in Vietnam .

The Vietnam StudyCentre in Torino has a library with about 4,000 books about Vietnam .This is the only library about Vietnam in Italy to help the Vietnamesecommunity and the Italian people to study and learn about Vietnam aswell as President Ho Chi Minh./.

Over 3,400 administrative procedures, business conditions cut or simplified

Since April, the Government has issued 11 resolutions abolishing 56 conditional business lines. Compared to the 2025 Law on Investment, the number of conditional business sectors has been reduced by more than 28%, from 198 to 142. The resolutions also revised regulations governing 14 conditional business and investment sectors.

Unverified mobile subscriptions hit by service suspension from June 15

Preliminary figures show that more than 93 million mobile numbers had completed ownership verification by the morning of June 15, while over 2 million numbers were identified as not being used by their registered owners.
